NYC Day #2

We woke up early to get our day going early but not too early...we were still a bit tired from the flight. Our first stop was the McDonald's around the corner from the hotel. We ate breakfast and went on our way....We went to Madame Tussuad's Wax Museum in Times Square. I had an absolute blast posing with all of the figures. I got super excited when I saw the wax figure of David Wright- the NY Mets 3rd baseman and one of my top two favorite players. After we toured all 3 floors I think, we went to the 4-D movie about earth and whales. It was pretty cool...they actually had sprays of water that come out on you, bubbles, wind, and a stick that pokes you in your back to give the affect that it's really coming at you! We spent a few hours posing and having fun. Then, it was off to the Top Of The Rock Observation Deck to get some awesome views of the city. It had three different levels for you to view from and we went up to all three. We saw everything...all the way to Brooklyn.

Mets 3rd Baseman, David Wright
I have loved him since I was 8, Joe Montana!!

Frank Sinatra..singing "New York, New York"...lol Tina Turner
Next stop was FAO Schwartz....It was very expensive but fun to walk around in. I managed to make my way to the "FAO Sweets" candy corner....I got some licorice( green apple and chocolate), grape and watermelon gummy bears, a few chocolate almonds, some gummy octopus' and some green apple rings. They were yummy!! I also picked up a souvenir for my niece, Brinley. It took us a while to actually find the store, and when we did we found Central Park!! We walked I swear half of Central Park( it's like 860 some odd acres). We found Strawberry Fields(John Lennon Memorial) and the Bow Bridge. I actually got to eat a hot dog in Central Park, which was one of my goals =) We also found the New York Palace Hotel( which they film scenes of Gossip Girl). I was super excited about that, but they were not filming that day. Across the street was the St. Patrick's Cathedral...I don't really know the history on it but I know it has importance...lol

After spending hours walking around the city we went to eat pizza. We ended up at John's Pizzeria, a Jonas Brothers favorite spot. It used to be a church, so they still have the cathedral ceilings and all the stained glass and some of the pews I think were turned into benches for the booths. The pizza was really good, thin but good. And when they make their pizza they put the cheese on first and then drizzle sauce on top of it. We got what they called the Marghareta pizza. It was cheese and sauce only.

Then, back out to Times Square...ugh!! Later that night, we ate at Applebee's in Times Square....We were originally going to eat at Hello Deli but it was closed. We walked around for twelve hours that day. After that it was off to the hotel and rest up for another day of sightseeing.
