To prepare everyone at work for Election Day....I decided to bake "Election Day Cupcakes"!! I came up with the idea yesterday morning. I spent about 30 min picking out photos of mini-buttons on Cafepress.com and printed them off. We don't have a color printer so I had to make do with black and white. But to give them color, I glued them to red and blue paper and cut them out in circles. I made them as soon as I got home from work. I even went to my friend's work and gave her a few......This is her first time to vote so I thought it would be cute to give her a few!!
I know I will be glued to the television tonight awaiting results from each state......we won't find out who won tonight but It will be exciting watching all of the results. My room mate and I are going to have Pizza( McCain's favorite, I read somewhere) and Cupcakes....and Blue and Red Gatorade. All in the theme of Election Day......I can make a special celebration out of anything if I'm bored enough....haha!
So, with that being said, I encourage EVERYONE to get out there and VOTE today!!! It is important......and your right as a U.S. Citizen. If you don't vote in 2008, Don't whine in 2009!!!
