It's Freezing Here...literally!!

Last night the sleet starting coming down here in North Texas. I didn't park under the covered parking because the weather guys here always make things sound worse than they actually end up turning out. Now, I know other places this weather is normal, but here in Texas, we get all kinds of weird weather.....sometimes a little snow and most of the time sleet. It was like 26 degrees or something like that yesterday! It was really cold......really,really cold. So I went to leave this morning for work and poor "Blue"( my car's name) was all iced over. I had to wait about 20 minutes for the windshield to defrost. In the meantime, I sat in my warm car jamming out to New Kids On The Block......"If you're single, single....." =)......Then I finally had to get out and start scraping away some of the ice....I was running late.

This is a pic of "Blue" when she was defrosting.... The door was frozen shut...took a little elbow grease to get it open.

This is the street in front of the apartment complex.....nice blue hue, huh? I only live about 3 miles from work so It's not biggie to drive in some mildly bad weather.

And since I was already running late.......a Starbucks trip was a must...haha! I used the gift card I got from another doctor's office yesterday for some Peppermint Hot Chocolate and a slice of Pumpkin Loaf.....it was oh so warm and yummy! =)
