The City

I have a new show on Mondays.....MTV's "The City".It's a spin-off from "The Hills" also on MTV. I quit watching that show about 2 months ago. I just can't handle the whole Heidi and Spencer shenanigans. And Lauren Conrad looks dirty to me....like she never washes her hair or takes her make-up off. Whitney was always my favorite person on that show and when I heard she was getting her own....I was glad. And it was going to be set in the great city of New York. I love all things NY so this was right up my alley.

We are three episodes into the show now, and I can say I don't like Olivia. She is a "socialite" who "works" at Diane Von Furstenberg with Whitney. She is a know it all and is trying to always tell Whitney what to do...or gives her opinion when not asked. She lives in uptown. She wants Whitney to be just like her....and thinks she can mold her since she is new in town. Whitney is crashing at Erin's apartment right now. Erin is someone Whit has known before moving to NY. She lives in downtown.....and loves it! So, Whit got her apartment in last night's episode.....Her "friend" Olivia was trying to get her to move uptown but had no success...she moved a few blocks from Erin.

This Olivia chic has ulterior motives I believe......she's gonna be trouble. Whit also met a guy named Jay(a musician) on one of her business trips prior to moving. They hit it off and have been dating every since. I must say......I like him!!! He is Australian....I love his accent. I like his scruffiness and his long hair. But, I think he may be playing Whit a bit.....he doesn't want to say they are a "couple" yet....hmmmmm. He may be the next one to watch out for.....stay tuned.
