This whole Chris Brown thing is insane!! I am not in ANY WAY condoning his behavior towards a female...AT ALL!!! But all of his Milk and Doublemint ads have been pulled and radio stations across the country have started to ban his music.
Now, this to me is insane. He is not the first Celebrity to cause harm to another person. But they are treating him like he is....They need to separate the talent from the person. His songs have no effect on what he did to Rihanna. And no one knows all of the details yet....it's all bits and pieces and speculation.
I personally love his music. He is a very talented person. And it blows my mind that all of the rappers like T.I., Akon, Lil' Wayne , 50 Cent, etc. can sell drugs to people and constantly be caught with weapons( mainly guns) and serve jail time and they still get their music played on the radio. It a double standard....The intent to harm someone is all the same...It's all violence. Selling drugs to someone is causing them harm. Pulling out your gun and pointing at someone is causing harm.
And Eminem can write songs about killing his wife Kim and songs full of violence and that's ok to play them on the radio to encourage it??
Country artist Tracey Lawrence was convicted of abuse to his estranged wife and they still played his music.....And what about James Brown? He has a history fo beating his ex-wife and they consider him an Icon in Music and honor him....that doesn't seem logical if the plan is to stop playing their music and not support men who beat women.
Oh, and we can't forget all of the athletes who are constantly accused of beating their wives and girlfriends. John Daly( golf player) has a history of beating his wife but he is still allowed to participate in the sport. Sugar Ray Leonard has a history of abuse but he is still considered one of the greatest boxers of all time. Jason Kidd( Basketball Player) was charged with Domestic Violence and still plays in the game today and is considered a valuable player. Kobe Bryant was accused of rape...another form of violence towards women. And he still has sponsors and a very active role in Basketball today.
Chris Brown's actions are inexcusable.......but he is in the same category as all of the people listed above and the ones we do not even know about. His Talent has nothing to do with his actions from this past weekend. They are two different subjects and should be left like that!

It's true, we don't know the details but it was disappointing to hear the accusations because he's one of the young artists I like. I think his sponsors are just waiting to see the outcome of the charges to be safe. Although look at at the things Snoop Dog has endorsed...
I also think any of the (proven)violent men you mentioned should not be considered heros in any respect!
