NYC Day #1

We arrived in New York around 3pm and made it to the Roosevelt Hotel around 4....We settled in and headed out to Times Square. We scoped out Juniors and decided to eat dinner there. They had the best onion rings ever!! I don't even like onions but I devoured those things up! And for dessert we ordered Devil's Food Cake Cheesecake...and OMG was it delish!! After dinner, we decided to head out to Times Square. It was bright, busy, and everything I thought it would be...ChAOS!! I have to say that Times Square is my least favorite place in NYC. There are too many people and tourists. People just stop in the walkways and look around and stop the flow. Now, I have to admit I did it a few times for a minute, but not long. There is a section in the middle of Times Square with little tables and chairs so you can sit and take it all in and get the infamous picture of you in front of all the action that is Times Square. So, I really don't see the need for stopping for long periods of time.

We also went in some souvenir shops and bought a few things and then off to the M&M Mega store....it's 3 floors!! It was also busy but it was neat to look at all the things that were in there. From there we went to the Hershey's Store which was about as big as my apartment...lol. Toys R Us was madness too. It was 3 levels and had a big Ferris wheel in the middle of it. We were going to ride but all of the tickets were sold out until like 9:30pm....a 3 hour wait. So we opted not to wait and walked around a bit more. Then it was off to the hotel room to get prepared for the next day. We didn't do much the first day because we were exhausted from our Marathon flight( like 7 hours with a layover in Minneapolis) which left at 5:45am that morning. We had to wake up at like 2:30am to get going.
