Last night, Audrey, her friend Kelly, and I left to eat dinner and run a few errands. They weather was so nice yesterday that we decided to leave the windows open a bit and let some fresh air in. When we arrived back home about and hour or so later, we found a grill in front of our patio and it had the lid wide open and smoke was pouring out of it. Obviously someone had wanted to get their fire going and walked off and left it. Well, as we walk into our apartment, it is filled with the smell of lighter fluid and smoke!! I was livid!! So, Kelly went out and moved the grill to the other side. We don't have neighbors above our apartment so there is no reason for the grill to be on our side. Here is a picture of our building to show you where are apartment is......it is the one on the lower right hand side. No one above us and our neighbor in the one next to us wasn't home. So, the neighbor from the upper left hand side comes down and asks us if we saw who moved his grill....lol Now, remember they have the exact amount of grass area in front of their side of the building. So, I go inside from the patio because I can't keep a straight face. Kelly and Audrey answer the man and say something along the terms of they moved it and that our windows are open and our house is full of smoke. So, what does he do? Goes and gets his grill and moves it right back to the same spot and puts more lighter fluid on it and walks away!!!! What a jerk! And he continues to leave it smoking with the occasional visit to check on it. Well, after a while I ask him how much longer he will have his grill out there because we want to air out our apartment. He says, "not to much longer", but his attitude totally sucks about the WHOLE situation. And let me tell you.....his grill was about 10 ft from OUR patio!! At our complex we are not allowed to grill on the patio. So, therefore that is one of the "luxuries" you pretty much give up by living in an apartment. Well, after a while we go back inside and just accept that he's a jerk and our apt. is gonna stink. I wake up this morning and the stupid grill is STILL there!! What a punk!!

There's no way I would have let him put that back in front of my apt. I swear, it would have gotten ugly...management or some authority (fire dept, anyone? isn't there a burn ban?) would have been brought in!

I wasn't in the mood to be confrontational...lol It doesn't happen often but last night was one of those nights. They are ghetto anyway....but if it happens again, I WILL take care of it!!
