Monday was just like any other annoying Monday. I went to work and came home right after. Well, about 8:15pm I decided that I wanted Arby's for dinner. I took off down the main highway in our town, which is Central Expressway 75. As I am driving the speed limit, which is rare but I actually was this time, I looked down for half a second to check the time on the radio. When I looked back up, the Jeep Liberty in front of me was completely STOPPED!!
I had no time to even tap my breaks much less stop. And I WAS NOT riding the back of her car what so ever. I didn't see any traffic backed up in front of her so her stopping was totally unexpected. I hit the back of her stopped Jeep going about 65mph!! My airbag popped out and I managed to turn my head so it wouldn't hit me directly in the face. Probably a bad move for my neck but I did it. It inflated and deflated so quickly that I looked to my left and actually saw her Jeep flip( 1 complete flip) across the highway and land upright on the shoulder/grass area. I immediately unbuckled my seat belt and got out because I smelled something and I wasn't sure where it was coming from but I didn't want to be in it if it caught on fire!
The car behind me missed me by inches Thank God! And there was no one in front of her. Our cars were the only ones involved. As, I scrambled for my phone, a older man came up to check on me and let me know his wife was calling 911. I later found my phone on the dash in between it and the windshield. I frantically called my sister Cindi. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to call someone on my new phone. I hadn't actually placed a call since I got it the other day. People had called me or I texted them but never called anyone. LOL....The police and all of that came, took all of my info etc. and my car was towed. The lady's hand appeared to be hurt but no visible marks on her face and she was talking and conscious. I felt horrible but who STOPS on the highway for NO REASON??
So, my whole torso has bruises from my seat belt and the airbag. Other than that and being sore, I am ok. I stayed home from work yesterday to figure all of the insurance stuff out. My car is in the shop and now it's just a waiting game to see what they are going to do with it. In the mean time I have a rental...ugh!!
Oh, and I took the Honda symbol from my hood...it was laying on the highway...LOL 
My poor beloved Honda.......this car is such a trooper. A week and a half after I leased it BRAND NEW( my first new car) I was rear ended at a red light by and F350 truck....and a month later I got my car out of the shop and it was like it was new again!! This time, I am not so sure.... =(
