All Hail the Calorie King

About 5 years ago when I broke up with my longtime boyfriend, I decided I needed to lose weight. And I did...about 35 lbs. I did it ALL on my own...I watched my calories and went to the gym 5 days a week. Then I got the flu and strep throat at the SAME time and I fell out of my routine.....and the weight crept back on.

Well, anyway, my point is...there is a little pocket book called Calorie King. There is a new edition that comes out every year to help keep it up to date. It has the calories count, carb count, and I believe Fat count on thousands of foods and restaurants- fast food and sit down places. It only cost about $9.00 at Borders.....If you are a calorie counter, It will be the best investment you will make during your weight loss lifestyle change. I took mine everywhere with me....and picked my meals from that if I wanted to eat out....or If you want to look up veggies and stuff like that that doesn't have a calorie count on it. It really is a handy tool to have at your disposal. I will be picking up my new copy this weekend while I am out and about.
Also, yesterday was the first day I went to the Fitness Center at the apartments.....It wasn't too bad...some out of shape guys lifting weights and a father/daughter crew walking on the treadmill.....so we fit right in. lol No awkward stares or anything....But today, I am going alone. My workout buddy has previously made plans. So hopefully it will be the same crowd.
