My busy weekend

Friday we(Aud and I) went to Hank's to see Charlie Robison. We have had this on our calendar for like 2 months. When we got there is was already hot, but inside was worse!! In Texas, it doesn't matter where you are in the summer, It's hot!!! So, we sat down and split a little dinner and geared up for the show. Wouldn't be wise to have a few drinks on an empty stomach in the heat. He has just released a new CD and I didn't know that many of the songs he was singing. I like some of his older stuff but I will admit, do not own one of his cds. But he is a fairly big name in Texas Country so we had to go. Last time, we actually met him!!! We wrapped up the night around 11pm because the heat was just miserable....

Then, Saturday I picked up my niece and my sister and we went out to eat for my sister's birthday. We ate at a place in Downtown Dallas called Twisted Root. It was voted best burger place in Dallas.....it was yummy!! And instead of giving you a number or taking your name when you place your order, they give YOU a celebrity name...haha And I got Hannah Montana...my favorite person...ugh!! My sister got Little Red Riding Hood. My niece didn't have one since their orders were combined. This place is also well known for their homemade Root Beer. I didn't try any since I don't really like it but my sister did...she said it was good. After Twisted Root, we went to Target. then off to Sprinkles to get a cupcake. then...off to Orange cup for some yummy HEALTHY frozen yogurt. The cupcakes we got to go for the next day.

That evening, I was invited to a surprise 30th birthday party for a girl I knew in High school. Chanon came over and got ready with us and we piled in and headed for Loft 610. We had a blast...I saw people I haven't seen in years....and caught up with people I talk to all the time. The birthday cake was yummy...and Christy was really surprised....she had no clue this was planned. Oh and of course, Aud invited some additional guys to crash the party and hangout...haha...They were pretty cool.

The next day was misery.....I had the effects of a hangover but I am also convinced I had the beginning of a stomach bug my roommate had last week. Monday I was still feeling bad.....
