My friends, Cindy and Jennifer, and I decided to plan a girls weekend. We met for lunch(minus Jen, she wasn't able to be there that early) at Chipotle. Then we ALL met up and had massages ...same appt times, different rooms..lol. Now, I am not much for people touching me but It was relaxing. Then from there, we headed to the Gaylord Texan Resort about 45 minutes away. None of us had been there before. It was all inside and it was like a little miniature San Antonio Riverwalk, indoors. We didn't leave for anything. Once we checked in, we settled in the hotel room and talked a bit, then headed out to explore....They had several eating places, coffee cafes and shops. We stopped and the girls had a coffee and we sat on the patio and talked some more..Then, off to find a place for dinner. We settled on a Sports Bar type place and had a good time chatting and eating. Then, back to the room to get ready for our night out. We decided on a place called Glass Cactus. It is on the same property as the resort, just a bit down from the huge parking garage. They have a shuttle that runs all night that picks you up and brings you back. So we hopped on the "Party Bus"(equipped with a banner, balloons, and string lights) and headed out. We got in and headed to get a drink( and one was all I had)....then off to the dance floor to rock out to the 80's cover band that was playing...they were really good, and quite entertaining. At one point, they passed out red balloons and then proceeded to Play 99 Red Balloons....haha!!

After we returned to the hotel at 1:30, we talked a bit more then passed out around 2:45am.....It was a fun night! We woke up the next morning, and got ready for the Breakfast Buffet at the Riverwalk Cafe. Now, I know I am eating better, and I was good all weekend, but this was my splurge. It was SOOO good!! I still had my milk, and fruit......but I tried a small sample of a few other things. All in all, I had some really good food but was still able to not go over board. Then, check out was at 11am, so we gathered our stuff and headed home. It was a fun and relaxing weekend. It was great catching up and seeing how we have all grown up and evolved...we were all close high school friends.

This picture is for my nephew Ben...He is really into Star Wars right now. There was a gaming convention going on there also...so I am not sure if this guy was part of that or just a random person walking around to entertain.
